Victrola has released a turntable compatible with Sonos devices

The American specialist in vinyl turntables Victrola has just released its new product at the beginning of the month. A turntable specifically compatible with Sonos connected speakers.

Platinum Victrola Stream Carbon presents itself as a product with a modern design while remaining sober. Despite a hefty bill, the Turntable has serious arguments to equip the house, starting with compatibility with all Bluetooth speakers from the Sonos brand.

A 2023 range

This Stream Carbon turntable is part of a brand new range of connected products specializing in playing vinyl records. Called Victrola Stream, this range will see new products unveiled by summer 2023 according to the American brand. In the meantime, music buffs can turn to the Stream Carbon, this high-end turntable sold for no less than €990. By offering this wireless turntable, Victrola continues to surf both on its specialty but also on the ever-increasing craze for vinyl records, which have been back in fashion for several years.

Special feature of this turntable, the Stream Carbon is certified by the Works with Sonos program. It can therefore be connected to any connected speaker from the famous Sonos brand, whose new Sonos Era 300 and 100 speakers should be released later this month. All you have to do is configure your turntable via the dedicated Victrola application and then pair it to a device using the Sonos application (not very important it seems).

A modern and solid design

The 34.5 x 43 x 11 cm device weighing almost 6 kg includes a number of high-end materials. The turntable features features such as a low-resonance veneer plinth, “premium” metal components, and a carbon fiber tonearm with custom-designed removable headstock. The brand says the Stream Carbon comes with a high-end Ortofon Red 2M cartridge for precise sound. It is neither more nor less than the part at the end of the tonearm, which notably embeds the stylus.

It is still possible to connect the Stream Carbon turntable to other audio systems via an RCA connector available on the device. The turntable can accommodate 33 as well as 45 rpm as tradition now dictates. Finally, there is an illuminated button on the front of the turntable, thanks to which it is possible to directly control the volume and the playback groups.
