Already on pole – his fourth this year – the French driver Sébastien Bourdais, associated with the Dutchman Renger van der Zande, won this Saturday, May 4 on the Belle Isle track in Detroit.

The Chip Ganassi duo won under the checkered flag, beating the Meyer Shank Racing Acura ARX-05 of Britons Tom Blomqvist and Oliver Jarvis, who were only preceded by 0.398 second by the victorious Cadillac.

Despite the excellent stint of Brazilian Pipo Derani at the wheel of Whelen’s Cadillac, which he shares with Frenchman Olivier Pla, the second Cadillac of Chip Ganassi Racing, takes third place and completes the podium with Earl Bamber and Alex Lynn, only 0.783.

In the GTD category, victory went to Ben Barnicoat and Kyle Kirkwood, on the fastest of the two Lexus RC F GT3s from the VasserSullivan team.
