On Tuesday, a grand military parade was held in Moscow’s Red Square to commemorate the 78th anniversary of Victory Day over Nazi Germany in World War II.
The celebration began at ten o’clock Moscow time, with the ringing of the Kremlin bells, in the presence of Russian President Vladimir Putin and heads of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Units of various types of Russian forces, which participated in the parade, gathered in Red Square, in addition to Russian vehicles and armored vehicles and the Russian Air Force.

More than ten thousand personnel and 125 pieces of military equipment participated in the parade.
The Red Square witnessed the passage of “Tiger” and “Typhoon-O” armored vehicles, “S-400” air defense missile systems, “BTR-82A” armored personnel carriers, “Iskander-M” operational tactical missiles, and missile systems. Mobile ground “Yaris”, as well as new armored personnel carriers “Boomerang”.
The Russian Air Force did not participate in the parade this year.
