Xu Chan, a member of the South Korean men’s group VICTON, was arrested for drunk driving last month and announced to suspend activities. After more than half a month, the agency IST Entertainment issued another statement announcing his withdrawal from the group! IST Entertainment issued a statement on the 11th saying that “Xu Can decided to withdraw from the group”, revealing that this was a decision following careful discussion with the members. The statement also mentioned that “Xu Can believes that he can no longer cause trouble to the group”, and the company also accepted. According to his own wishes, he officially announced that VICTON will conduct activities with 6 other people besides him in the future, and finally apologized to the fans.

Previously, the company first announced on September 22 that Xu Can was under investigation for drunk driving before the media disclosed. At that time, the statement revealed that he was stopped by the police on the morning of September 20 on his way home from a party and detected drunk driving. The alcohol concentration reached the standard for revoking his driver’s license, announcing that he had interrupted all activities, apologized to fans, and promised to work hard to review it so that similar incidents would not happen in the future.
