A huge 10-storey building collapsed in the city of Abadan, Iran, killing dozens and injuring others.
The Red Crescent revealed that at least 80 people were trapped under the rubble, and work was underway to rescue them.
According to the Director General of the Red Crescent Society in Khuzestan Province, Wahid Shabani, the death toll rose to 10 dead and 35 wounded.
Al-Shaabani also offered his condolences to the families of the victims, adding that efforts are continuing to remove the rubble and search, rescue and relief operations.
