It’s the update a bit “We don’t really know what to do with it” of the evening. Last Saturday, Mo Bamba was forced off the court during a Warriors reception. Examinations revealed a severe left ankle sprain. His regular season is over. It’s not a disaster, but it’s still that less.
Six wins in eight games for the Lakers, but at what cost? At the cost of Mo Bamba’s left ankle, sacrificed during the reception of Golden State last Saturday. This Thursday, the purple franchise communicated the unavailability of its interior which will only be reassessed in… four weeks. Phew, it’s not the same loss as Steven Adams, but it’s a loss nonetheless. Landed in Los Angeles in early February in the middle of a four-team trade involving regarding 75% of NBA players, Mo Bamba has so far only played seven games, including only one as a starter. His averages? 4.4 points on 42% shooting and 5.3 rebounds. Can the Lakers do without it until the end of the regular season? Yes, Anthony Davis fills the California racket on his own (Jarred Vanderbilt helps him a lot). Mo Bamba is like a bottle of ketchup next to potatoes. It’s good with, but you can very well do without it. Sometimes we appreciate it even more by leaving it aside.
Mo Bamba has a high left ankle sprain and will be re-evaluated in approximately four weeks, per the Lakers.
