“Victim cosplay!” Serial killer Yoo Young-cheol’s ‘8 chapters’ handwritten letter was released, and Lee Seung-gi analyzed it in one word as soon as he read it.

Serial killer Yoo Young-cheol’s handwritten letter was released.

In the second episode of the 30th anniversary of ‘I Want To Know’, in SBS ‘All The Butlers’ broadcast on the 13th, Lee Dong-won, PD Do Jun-woo, profiler Il-yong Kwon, and criminal psychologist Park Ji-seon appeared as masters. Dancer Ri Jeong appeared as a daily apprentice.

On this day, Park Ji-sun said, “It would be good to read the letters written by criminals together and analyze what characteristics they have.” Regarding the letter, Kwon Il-yong gave a hint, saying, “I am a person I know well.”

Lee Seung-gi, who did not know who wrote the letter, said, “The introduction is too long. It starts with ‘Hello’ and ends with ‘I’ll write a few words’ as the introduction, but I’m cosplaying as a victim who is very pitiful. I think the victim’s cosplay is too harsh.”

Park Ji-sun, who heard this, said, “I pointed out the expression “victim cosplay” well. (Criminals in letters) express what can be written easily and concisely in a lengthy way, and he used emotional expressions that dared to reveal.” Kwon Il-yong also helped by saying, “I can be specially appointed as an analyst.”

The criminal who wrote the letter was later identified as Yoo Young-cheol. What is unusual is that the letter is a total of 8 pages, and even though it was written by hand, there was no sign of modification. Regarding this, Park Ji-sun said, “There is not a single trace of it being erased after fixing it. In other words, this letter is the final version to show to the world, written with people in mind.”

He continued, “Yoo Young-chul is a person who cares very much about what other people think of me,” he added.

Park Ji-sun also said, “At the time of the arrest, this type of criminal was rare in Korea, so I had a lot of interviews with experts in the field of criminal psychology. The first time the term ‘psychopath’ was used was when Yoo Young-cheol came out. In the letter, Yoo Young-chul calls the experts’ stories ‘obsolete sleep talk’, but he has a sense of superiority that he is not someone that experts can evaluate. He has this unpleasant sense of superiority throughout the letter.”

Producer Lee Dong-won also said about the letter, “The part that the producers are most wary of is the letter. If you look at the part that says ‘a child who used to play with briquettes without a single toy a long time ago became a rare murderer 30 years later,’ Yoo Young-chul made himself a story.”

Park Ji-sun also said, “It is better to refrain from expressions such as ‘rare killer’ because it can create narratives and heroism for criminals. There must be,” he said.
