THE GOVERNMENT is strongly committed to realizing Golden Indonesia 2045. One of the pillars of its development is focused on human development through employment reform.

For this reason, the coverage of participants in the Employment Social Security program continues to be increased, with the hope that as many as 99.5 percent of workers in Indonesia will be protected by 2045.

This was stated by Vice President (Wapres) Ma’ruf Amin when attending the 2024 Employment Social Security Award or Paritrana Award, at the BP Jamsostek Plaza Ballroom, Jl. HR Rasuna Said, Kuningan, South Jakarta City, Thursday (12/9/2024).

“The social security protection program for workers is a real manifestation of the state’s presence in providing protection and welfare for workers and their families,” he said.

Furthermore, the Vice President explained strategic steps to strengthen the Employment Social Security program. “First, maximize budget allocation for the protection of vulnerable workers,” said Ma’ruf.

According to him, innovations such as digitalization of services and improvement of information technology systems will make things easier for workers, both in the formal and informal sectors.
