The Vice Minister of Collective Health Networks, Dr. Pedro Fernández, arrived in Bolívar state to tour the warehouses and pharmacies of the Uyapar, Raúl Leoni de Guaiparo and the Hipólita Black Maternity hospitals.
He was accompanied by the sole Health authority Manuel Maurera, they reported in a press release from the Bolívar State Government. The objective was to guarantee a follow-up and control of the medical and surgical supplies that are delivered in each health center.
They are made through the hospital endowment route, a program promoted by the region’s Institute of Public Health.
Maurera reported that in addition to making an inventory of the medicines delivered, they took the opportunity to evaluate the conditions of these three health centers to take note of the needs they may have.
During this tour, a meeting was also held in the Chirica parish in San Félix, with the coordinators of the Comprehensive Community Health Area (Asic), the Barrio Adentro Mission and Sanitary District No. 2, with whom they evaluated the conditions of these healthcare facilities.
“We take advantage of this meeting to set up work tables, in which we present proposals for the formation of the Military Community Brigades (Bricomiles) of the health sector,” said Maurera.
