Vibration calls WhatsApp Solved – Samsung Community

Samsung’s WhatsApp Calling Conundrum: The Mystery of the Missing Vibration Settings!

Ah, Samsung! The tech giant that brought us smartphones we can’t live without but forgot they shouldn’t live without a good vibrate setting! Today, we’re diving headfirst into the curious case of WhatsApp calls in vibrate mode and why you might as well be using a tin can and string to get your notifications.

The Dilemma: Ringtones, Vibration, and Absolute Confusion

Our dear Samsung community, gather your smartphones, and let’s unravel this vibration enigma together. It appears many users, savvy enough to slap their phones unnoticed, go to take an important call and find… nothing! Not even a whisper of vibration! What’s going on? Are we trying to phone in to the afterlife here?

So let’s paint the picture, shall we? You’re in a meeting, the boss is droning on about quarterly projections, and just as you tune them out, *BAM* a WhatsApp call comes in. Your phone sits there like a stone, not ringing, not vibrating—just silently judging your life choices.

Old Settings vs. New Reality: A Samsung Saga

But it’s not you; it’s Samsung! With every update, it’s as if they have a secret meeting where they decide, “Let’s make our users’ lives a little more complicated, shall we?” Once upon a time, in the glory days of the Galaxy S10e, an ancient version of One UI gave us the luxury of having separate controls for ringtones and vibration. We could customize our notifications like a fine dining experience! But the later models? Oh no, they’ve thrown that out the window.

With the newer S21, S22, and S23 ushering in a new look but leaving common sense behind, users now relegate notifications to a whimsical guessing game. The settings are gone—poof! Just like my will to exercise after eating another slice of cake. And here you are, left with your phone ringing in vibrate mode and shaking like it’s trying to communicate with aliens.

A Call to Action: What Can Be Done?

This is where it gets juicy! People tired of the “vibrate but don’t ring” tango have been contacting customer service—only to be met with blank stares and scripted apologies. Seriously, I’ve seen more enthusiasm from a wet sock! For those on the newer models, it’s a tough pill to swallow. Your phone might as well be set to “silent mode: GO!”

The advice from our brave Galaxy S10e user? Simply hope that Samsung fixes this quagmire in their next software update, and for goodness’ sake, cherish those old settings like they’re the last cupcake at a birthday party!

In Conclusion: Will Samsung Listen?

So there you have it: a conundrum worthy of Sherlock Holmes, if only he were a Samsung user. Let’s all rally together and send a signal to the Samsung overlords: we want our vibration settings back! With all the technology available, it would be a shame to know WhatsApp calls are crying out for help while we sit in silence, wondering if maybe… just maybe… our friends have forgotten us.

Thank you, Samsung community! May your ringtones ring true and your vibrations resonate with purpose. And until next time, keep those phones charged and your notifications alive!

Dear Samsung community, I am speaking to you because I solved a problem so several Samsung users could not understand why WhatsApp calls in vibrate mode did not work when you received a call…. even with the vibrator disabled, When we wanted to dissociate the ringtone from vibrate mode separately, if we deactivate the vibrator in ringtone the phone rang but we only saw the call in front of the gap no vibration appears Falais activated ringtone and vibrator at the same time so that the notification calls WhatsApp Vibrates and rings at the same time but many did not like this setting but wanted the phone to ring only in (ring mode) and the phone only vibrates in (vibrate mode) this did not work because Samsung over time creates an update which old smartphones had in the settings via WhatsApp which no longer exist since certain models the S21 S22 S23 S24 ect… until today. I have a Samsung Galaxy S10e and the old One UI version Allows you to vibrate the smartphone in WhatsApp calls and messages in vibrate mode here is a screenshot of the notification setting on WhatsApp which no longer exists today with the new One UI versions

Thanks to this setting, you just have to mark it as default or choose the type of short or long vibrator but unfortunately this setting no longer exists on very recent Samsung phones from the S21 or S22 until the last one. can’t find this problem, even Samsung, after having contacted customer service multiple times, was unable to resolve the problem.

I hope this will have helped Samsung to correct this big flaw. That they did not know how to correct it on their latest smartphone, hoping for those who have the latest Samsungs, I wish you all good success…
