VGT invites the Minister of Agriculture to eat schnitzel following he publicly expressed his concerns regarding the Austrian schnitzel due to the VfGH findings
Vienna (OTS) – “We must not endanger our Austrian Schnitzel,” Agriculture Minister Totschnig was quoted as saying Constitutional Court the far too long transition period for the ban on fully slatted floors in pig farming has been overturned. “Don’t worry, Mr. Agriculture Minister,” replies VGT chairman DDr. Martin Balluch, “The Austrian Schnitzel has already been saved. As detailed in the ORF report ‘Brennpunkt Österreich’ 2 days ago, the Austrian company ‘Pflanzerei’ sells an Austrian schnitzel made from Danube soy. Constitutional Court and fully slatted floors or not, this authentic Austrian schnitzel will remain with us. You can rest assured, Mr. Totschnig.”
The VGT invites the Minister of Agriculture to eat a (vegan) schnitzel together. Balluch continued: “In the ORF broadcast, a die-hard pig farmer tasted the schnitzel and found it to be good. What suits a pig farmer will certainly also suit you, Mr Totschnig. We at the VGT would be happy if you would accept our offer and eat this traditional Austrian cultural asset made from valuable plant ingredients together with us and think regarding how we can also help the fattening cattle on completely slatted floors before the VfGH also makes a further finding regarding this animal cruelty brings a quick end.”
