VfGH lifts leisure residence tax for Kufstein and Wörgl – Tyrol

Vienna – The Tyrolean cities of Kufstein and Wörgl have to change their leisure residence taxes – the Constitutional Court (VfGH) has now decided. Since 2020, they have been able to collect a flat fee of at least 100 euros for a leisure residence of up to 30 square meters. For more than 250 square meters of usable living space, the tax can be up to 2,200 euros. Kufstein and Wörgl have each exhausted the maximum possible amounts. Now you have to justify that. The decision of the highest court might have serious consequences for many Tyrolean communities, writes the “Tiroler Tageszeitung” on Sunday.
