Veterinarians told what not to feed dogs – it’s deadly

Chocolate is a favorite treat for people, but it will not benefit pets. Researchers talk regarding sad statistics – twice a year, the number of chocolate poisoning among dogs is growing by 123%.

Veterinarians also say pet owners often leave chocolate unattended and dogs find it and eat it.

Chocolate contains theobromine. This substance is toxic to pets and can cause vomiting, diarrhea, and in some cases even death. Experts note that dogs have a highly developed sense of smell and are able to sniff out even a hidden treat. Therefore, veterinarians advise keeping chocolates as far away from dogs as possible.

Scientists note that dangerous for pets can be buns, cakes, dried fruits, raisins and cranberries. These products, even in very small quantities, can cause malaise.

Also keep away from dogs. nutmegbecause it contains myristicin, which can cause health problems. In large quantities, it provokes heart palpitations, abdominal pain, hallucinations and convulsions.

Dangerous for dogs and some flowers. Pets should not be allowed near daffodils, lilies, tulips, hyacinths and bluebells – their bulbs contain toxic alkaloids and glycosides.
