Momir Ilics: – Magdeburg was better than us, they won deservedly. Our problems were mainly in attack, we played awkwardly and slowly, shot inaccurately, and after mistakes we conceded several easy goals. Regardless, we will continue in the BL, we are there in the round of 16, we are preparing against Szeged.
Bennet Wiegert: – Of course, we are very happy, we have reached our goal. The two great teams fought a huge battle, it was a real emotional rollercoaster, there was an amazing atmosphere in this fantastic arena. Now we want to enjoy the success, since we came for one point, but we got two, which is a special pleasure.
The 207-centimeter Dane Mike Jensen started in goal for the home team for the first time in the last group stage of the Champions League, in the match between Telekom Veszprém and Magdeburg, which directly decided the quarter-finals, and perhaps the fact that he was guarding the goal for the Germans a year ago also played a role in the decision.
