Versions of road accidents in the Rivne region appeared

In the Rivne region, a tanker collided with a minibus on the road. 14 people died on the spot. Law enforcement officers are considering several versions of the accident.

“At present, several versions regarding the causes of this tragedy are being considered. The first is the damage to the wheel of the truck, as a result of which it drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a shuttle bus,” said Andrii Rudnytskyi, head of the Rivne Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

Andriy Rudnytskyi spoke regarding the details of the investigation:

“In order to verify the versions, an inspection of the scene has already been conducted with the involvement of specialists and experts. 18 examinations were appointed, including auto-technical and forensic examinations. As part of forensic examinations, the issue of the presence of alcohol in the blood of drivers will also be considered. At present, witnesses of the accident and eyewitnesses have been questioned,” said the head of the Rivne Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

It will be recalled that the State Emergency Service of the Rivne region reported that the accident occurred near the village of Verkhiv in the Ostroz community. It is clarified that a Mercedes Sprinter carrying people on the route Horodyshche — Rivne — Starokostyantyniv was involved in an accident.
