Véronique Lefrancq leaves the Committed: “A new page turns”

It was on her Twitter account that the politician decided to announce her withdrawal from the Engaged movement. “A new page is turning”, for the alderman of 49 years.

“I feel like an orphan politically speaking. I need an identity and markers that I can’t find anymore”, details the ex-CdH in its publication. However, she specifies that she will not leave the humanist project, only the political party of the Committed.

The member of the Brussels Parliament, who has been involved for 18 years in the center party, no longer feels in her place in the new political project of the Committed. “The Movement has decided to define itself outside the humanist project and to give a new identity. I obviously respect the process and the choices made by the convinced, but it is not my choice.”

Nevertheless, Véronique Lefrancq will continue to honor her political mandate as an independent member of the Brussels Parliament.
