“Heather” won a willful victory over “Dawn” in a home match of the 9th round of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL) of the 2024/25 season. The match at the “Avangard” stadium in Rivne ended with a score of 2:1.
Already in the 9th minute of the meeting, Lugansk opened the scoring – Ihor Horbach scored after a pass from Denys Antyukh.
However, the home team recovered quickly enough – in the 18th minute, Marko Mrvaljevych scored an accurate header, taking advantage of Mykhailo Protasevich’s pass.
The Rivne club scored the winning goal at the beginning of the second half thanks to the Brazilian legionnaires. In the 54th minute, Luan made a good low shot from twenty meters, before receiving the ball from Iago Siqueira.
Review of the match “Veres” – “Zorya”
Thus, “Veres” interrupted its four-game winless streak in the UPL and rose to the 11th place in the tournament table with 9 points. “Zorya” is in the 7th place with 12 points.
In the tenth round of the championship of Ukraine, which will take place after the international break, “Veres” will play away against “Chornomorets” on October 20, and “Zorya” will meet “Kryvbas” on the same day.
