NetEase announced in March of this year Marvel Rivals, a new hero shooter based on the iconic Marvel comics characters that will arrive little by little and has given new details such as closed beta tests, its launch on consoles and new characters such as Spider-Man and now Venom himself.
Along with the character reveal, NetEase announced the date of a new closed beta that will begin on July 23 and their presence during San Diego Comic Con. At the event, they will present more details regarding the title such as its story and details such as the artistic and sound section of Marvel Rivals.
During the closed beta, players will be able to complete Galacta missions and accumulate event XP to unlock a variety of rewards. “Join Galacta on her extraordinary journey and immerse yourself in the captivating stories of Marvel Rivals,” NetEase said in a statement.
“Additionally, participants can earn the closed beta-exclusive Venom costume: Cyan Clash! This awesome reward is available exclusively to closed beta players. Just make sure to use the same account at the official launch of Marvel Rivals to claim it.”
Marvel Rivals will feature a long list of iconic characters
Players will be able to choose from a selection of Marvel Super Heroes and Super Villains, including the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, X-Men, and more. New characters and maps will be added with each new season. At launch, the game will include the following characters:
- Black Panther
- Doctor Strange
- Big
- Hulk
- Iron Man
- Loki
- Luna Snow
- Magic
- Magneto
- Namor
- Parker pens
- Rocket Raccoon
- Spider-Man
- Venom
While the hero shooter will continue to bring new betas throughout 2024, its exact release date for consoles and PC is still unknown.
