Venezuelans will witness the presidential electoral process at the Consulate of Cúcuta

In the city of Cúcuta, capital of the border department of Norte de Santander – Colombia, on Saturday, July 20, in-person training was held for citizens who will be responsible for serving as electoral witnesses in favor of opposition presidential candidate Edmundo González Urrutia on Sunday, July 28, 2024.

This was announced by Andrés Alberto Calles Rodríguez, head of the Command with Venezuela – Cúcuta, in Colombia, who highlighted that these six observers who were trained to attend three polling stations received training online and in person, where they were made aware of the importance of defending the 1,225 votes of the same number of Venezuelan voters, who will be able to exercise their right to vote in the presidential elections at the end of this month.

“We are training our witnesses in the legal, electoral and civic fields, to defend the vote, always adhering to the Electoral Law and its regulations to guarantee respect for the will of the citizen, this coming Sunday, July 28,” said Calles Rodríguez.

The head of the Command with Venezuela – Cúcuta, in Colombia, reported that the three electoral tables of the Venezuelan Consulate in Cúcuta are expected to be working from 6 AM until 6 PM or until there are voters in line.

Finally, Calles Rodríguez invited Venezuelans living in Cúcuta or nearby towns to be present and support this process, no matter if they are not favored with the right to vote, denied to the vast majority, because the participation of everyone in a civic and citizen manner is important, to await the good news that is coming for Venezuela.
