Caracas, Feb 13 (EFE) .- The Venezuelan Trade Union Network called this Sunday for a protest for next Tuesday in front of hospitals in 14 of the 23 states of the Caribbean country “for dignity, life and family.”

“Already 14 states have joined our next call, our invitation is extended to every worker in the country, the intention is to continue adding wills,” the general coordinator of Monitor Salud (part of the union network), Mauro Zambrano, wrote on Twitter.

That is why he asked the demonstrators to move “for dignity, life and family” on February 15.

On January 13, Monitor Salud denounced that, in 2021, there were 600 threats and coercion of health workers to resign their jobs in Venezuela, for denouncing the situation in medical centers, especially due to covid -19.

For its part, the Venezuelan Medical Federation (FMV) denounced last December that the public hospitals of the Caribbean country are facing a “technical closure” due to the lack of medicines, materials and the deterioration of the facilities of the health centers.
