Venezuelan Rosa Rodríguez wins Olympic diploma in Paris 2024

This Tuesday, August 6, Rosa Rodríguez finished her performance at the Olympic Games Paris 2024, in the hammer throw discipline.

The Venezuelan finished in eighth place in the final and secured her Olympic diploma.

Rodríguez posted a mark of 12.98 meters during his second attempt of the day. The first was 71.02, the fourth 71.22 and the fifth 70.85, while the third and sixth were not validated.

With this result, the Creole athlete achieved her best performance in the Olympic Games. In Rio 2016 she was tenth, with a distance of 69.26.

The podium of this competition was made up of Camryn Rodgers with gold (Canada), Annette Echikunwoke with silver (United States) and Zhao Jie with bronze (China).

In this way, Rosa Rodríguez signs her best performance in her fourth Olympic event at 38 years of age.
