The Electoral Commission of the Venezuelan Red Cross announced the date for the renewal of the national authorities of that organization, a decision that was made on May 24 in a session that included members, sectors and other components that comprise it.
Through a statement posted on social media, the organization reported that the procedure will be carried out as established in the Special Transitional Regulations for Elections 2024 for the National Government Board of that entity.
In the same statement, they detailed that the date for the renewal of national authorities will take place next Saturday, June 29, 2024.
It is worth remembering that the president of the restructuring board of the Venezuelan Red Cross, Ricardo Cusanno, reported at the beginning of May that the new authorities that will make up the board of directors of the health organization will be elected at the end of June, following ensuring that the process of choosing the new authorities will be done with transparency.
“At the end of June we will have an electoral process with transparency, with legitimacy (…) the Red Cross will give itself the authorities it wants to have, authorities that are committed to the process,” said Cusanno in an interview with Unión Radio.
