Venezuelan Migration to the United States: Stories of Hope and Challenges

The United States is one of the preferred countries for thousands of people to start a new life and improve its quality, which is why they decide to migrate there to undertake a new challenge. Some enter the North American country legally, while others do so through the so-called trails, exposing their lives with the aim of finding a better future.

Due to the crisis that is being experienced in Venezuela, citizens have decided for many years to emigrate to other countries to get away from the difficult moment their nation is going through, due to the Government of President Nicolás Maduro. Colombia and the United States are two of the countries most chosen by Venezuelan migrants, so hundreds of stories are known every day, many of them of improvement.

The Venezuelan’s story

“One year free living in New York City, one year free living in the United States. Very happy and pleased with all the support they have given us as Venezuelans, we are extremely grateful,” he began by recounting.

“Your problems are not our fault, that routine life of unhappiness and stress that you come to live in the United States. Live it, we have never lived that way,” she concluded.
