In the last few hours, electoral authorities formally welcomed national and international observers and presented the Venezuelan voting system.

According to the official report in NDP, the activity was held at the facilities of the Big Top, located in Plaza Caracas and was headed by the president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Elvis Amoroso.

In this regard, he stressed that the Venezuelan Electoral Power represents one of the five Powers established by the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, as well as the Executive, Legislative, Judicial and Moral Powers, the latter made up of the Attorney General of the Republic, the Ombudsman and the Comptroller General of the Republic who also participate in this process to guarantee transparency, respect for human rights, and the absolute will of the people of Venezuela next Sunday, July 28.

He also highlighted that the Venezuelan CNE has the best electoral system in the world, and assured that each of the electoral authorities has been carrying out an arduous task to transmit to the candidates, to the political organizations that are part of this process and to the media the transparency and effectiveness of the Venezuelan electoral system.

He assured that each of the activities established in the electoral schedule have been developed with transparency and participation of political organizations and international observers.

He also asked for respect for the group of international observers who come to Venezuela with the best intentions to verify the expression of the sovereign people. “They come here and you media outlets that are going to say the opposite, come, we are open to the public,” he said.

He also acknowledged the work of international and national electoral experts who have accompanied the various audits of the electoral system in the phases prior to the event.

He said that one of the most relevant aspects of this electoral process was to understand the political context of the country. In this sense, it was possible to develop this electoral schedule, which today is 86% complete.

Finally, Quintero stressed that audits are part of the guarantees of the Venezuelan electoral system, they are verifiable and verifiable by organizations with political purposes and can be observed by international experts present at the time of their realization, as well as through established digital platforms.
