The Venezuelan World Poetry Festival 2024, which will be held from July 8 to 13, throughout the national territory and the Bolívar Theater in the city of Caracas, will have a “night recital” in its program this Tuesday.
Present at this recital will be Alejandro Lerma from Colombia, Xavier Oquendo from Ecuador, as well as Raúl García Palma from Venezuela; among others.
The 18th World Poetry Festival, in tribute to Leonardo Gustavo Ruiz, began this Monday with a recital by the students of the Juan Calzadilla National Poetry School, in the Manuelita Sáenz Room of the Bolívar Theater, in the central district.
Workshops, recitals, poetic meetings, conferences, book presentations, conversations and an exhibition will be part of the Festival.
With the motto “This, word, you are”, the poetic event will take place until Saturday, April 13 and will extend through 20 states, where some 200 Venezuelan poets and 22 international poets will participate.
