The Venezuelan authorities have denounced having suffered a “premeditated and treacherous” attack once morest an electricity tower of the National Electric System in the southwestern region of the country.

MADRID, 19 (EUROPA PRESS)

“After an attack once morest the National Electric System, they supervise and monitor the maneuvers carried out by the teams from the National Dispatch Center to restore one hundred percent of the service in the region,” said the Ministry of Electric Energy of Venezuela.

For his part, the minister in charge of the area, Néstor Reverol, has expressed his discomfort on social networks over these acts of vandalism “premeditated and carried out with treachery” to threaten the well-being of Venezuelans.

In addition, he has linked the attack on the electricity tower to “destabilizing groups”, and has lamented that Venezuela is being the victim of a “systematic and prolonged electrical war”.

Later, Reverol himself announced that the employees of the national electricity company Corpoelec had managed to restore the service in its entirety.

For his part, the opposition Henrique Capriles has recriminated the authorities that, although “promised to solve the service crisis in Venezuela”, this Tuesday there have been blackouts in various parts of the territory.

“Surely they are coming once more with the story that everything was sabotage. It is a mockery of Venezuelans to tell them that the country is normal, when in less than three weeks of 2022, what we have seen is pure chaos,” he has recriminated. Capriles.

Venezuela already witnessed in the middle of last December another attack on the national electricity grid, which then caused blackouts in fifteen states in the country.
