Resolution 414 states in its text that “the manufacture, storage, distribution, circulation, commercialization, import, export, use, consumption, publicity, promotion and sponsorship of electronic nicotine administration systems, similar electronic systems without nicotine, are prohibited. consumables, tanks or cartridges, containers of refill consumables, and other accessories, conventional heated tobacco products, and similar products”.

For PAHO, this action “becomes one of the most important achievements of Venezuelan public health in recent years and puts the country in the vanguard squad in the fight once morest tobacco and derivatives in the region.”

According to their data, Venezuela has positioned itself as one of the countries with the greatest progress in tobacco control in the region, for this reason in 2020 it received the World No Tobacco Day Award, granted by the WHO.
