The Venezuelan women’s soccer team defeated its counterpart from Thailand this Wednesday with a score of 2-0, in one of the two friendly matches that the vinotinto team has scheduled for this week.
The challenge, held at the High Performance Center (CAR) in Mexico City, also served for the debut of Oswaldo Vizcarrondo as interim technical director, after the departure of Pamela Conti.
Ysaura Viso opened the account for the Venezuelan girls in the 12th minute of the game. From then on the score did not move further until the 80th minute, when Oriana Altuve made it 2-0 after a penalty was taken.
The second and last match of this FIFA date for the female La Vinotinto will be next Saturday, October 26, when they challenge Mexico at the Agustín “coruco” Díaz stadium in Zacatepec.
It is worth remembering that in the previous friendly window Venezuela lost twice against Colombia. On May 30 they lost 0-2 and on June 2 0-3, in confrontations that took place at the Metropolitan Stadium in Cabudare, Lara state.
