The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that, on the night of Sunday to Monday, they carried out an airstrike that hit Hezbollah’s intelligence complex in Beirut, as part of its recent offensive against the Lebanon.
Israeli planes attacked the armed group’s intelligence headquarters, as well as several command centers and other terrorist infrastructure sites, according to a statement issued by the Israeli military on Monday.
Furthermore, in the last few hours, the Israeli Air Force attacked Hezbollah weapons depots in the Beirut area. “After the attacks, secondary explosions were detected that indicated the presence of weapons,” the IDF message states.
From Israel, it was stated that Hezbollah has intentionally located its command and weapons centers under residential buildings in the center of Beirut, putting the population of the area at risk.
