So far, one of the children, the wife and the car have still not been found, police said Wednesday.
As the mother of children Kason and Kyair Thomass, a delivery person at DoorDash, picked up an order from a restaurant, her car was parked in front of the pizzeria, which was still running.
When he left the restaurant, his car, a black 2010 Honda Accord, was missing.
One of the children, Kyair, was found abandoned near Dayton International Airport Tuesday morning around 4:15 a.m.
As of Wednesday followingnoon, Kason was still missing and the suspect, 24-year-old Nalah Jackson, still wanted, Columbus Police Chief Elaine Bryant said at a news conference.
Jackson, charged with two counts of kidnapping, was reportedly last seen at the airport where one of the children was found.
An Amber Alert was issued for the twins at 1:37 a.m. Tuesday morning.
In the evening, the twins’ grandmother, LaFonda Thomass, begged for Kason’s return.
“If you look at him and see something, see a precious child yearning for his mother,” she said.
“We’re begging you, please, please, please do the right thing and just bring my baby home.”
First Deputy Chief of Police LaShanna Potts expressed at the vigil, “We are committed to finding baby Kason. We want Nalah to do the right thing. […] We know she’s able to do that because she released a baby.”
Authorities believe there is no connection between the twins’ family and the suspect.
