Vehicle auction if fines not paid for traffic violations: Abu Dhabi Police

Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi police have warned that the vehicle will be auctioned off if fines are not paid for traffic violations. Those who have been fined more than 7,000 dirhams will have their vehicles confiscated if they do not pay the fine immediately, and if they do not pay the fine within three months, the vehicle will be auctioned off, police said.

For those who do not pay their dues due to lack of funds, loans from 5 banks are also available. They can avail interest free loans from First Abu Dhabi Bank, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Mashraq and Emirates Islamic Bank for a period of one year. Those who pay the fine within 2 months will get a 35% discount.
