A Mustant under Unreal Engine 3D!
The manufacturer did not use the vertical slab of the Mustang Mach-E, but a BMW/Mercedes-style horizontal double-panel, very wide (12.4 and 13.2″) and very well done graphically. In order to maximize the fluidity of the animations, nothing less than the Unreal Engine 3D was used, the one found behind Fortinite or many recent AAA games. On the OS side, no Android yet but SYNC4, which still supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wireless -phew.
Lightyear 0, the most aerodynamic in the world!
With the electric, aerodynamics (re) becomes a key value to limit friction at high speed, and improve autonomy. With its stratospheric price (€250,000), the Lightyear 0 above all beats the record for Cx the best on the market, measured at 0.175 in the wind tunnel. This allows it to place a small battery (60 kWh) in the chassis, while maintaining good autonomy (625Km WLTP), including on the highway, according to the manufacturer. Remember that the best on the market were previously the Mercedes EQS (0.20) and the Tesla Model 3 (0.23).
The electric Fiat 500 is more expensive
Real success for Stellantis, the electric Fiat 500 (tested below) is changing its range and especially its prices! In the basic version (23.8 kWh), it is now at €30,400 and the model with the large battery (41kWh) goes to €33,900, €38,500 in the very equipped LaPrima version! This is getting complicated, especially facing the MG4much more versatile and with better autonomy. Remember that the car started at €24,500 when it was launched at the end of 2020.
Here is our test of the electric Fiat 500!
Dacia Manifesto, the electric buggy!
Finally, here is a UFO that no one expected: Dacia presented its Manifesto to the press, an absolutely magnificent buggy, in which one would like to travel the globe in all-electric mode! It’s just a concept, it doesn’t even have a defined motorization, not really a screen either apart from the speedometer, and the whole thing looks pretty bare.
The manufacturer just wanted to have fun, because apparently, no serial version should come out of it. Still, with a good battery, and a price worthy of Dacia, it might be a hit in some countries where the need for 4x4s is much greater than in France.
