VCT Pacificthe Asia-Pacific league associated with the VALORANT Champions Tour, has announced a collaboration with the Japanese girl group XG, based in South Korea. As a result, both parties will join forces to release a music single titled “Undefeated«.
The single will be released on April 12th on all music streaming platforms. Additionally, there will be a music video that will play on the canal de YouTube de VCT Pacific when the song is released. This collaboration represents the XG’s first foray into the esports industry. According to Riot Gamesthe song will convey the message of “fearlessly conquering victory at all times and rising to the occasion despite everything.”
In recent years, the music industry has joined the esports industry to participate in various collaborations. In August 2023, North American organization Team Liquid released an anthem ahead of VCT Champions 2023. In November 2023, Riot Games expanded its collaboration with record label BMG. The release of the song between VCT Pacific and XG comes after the start of the regular phase of the competition. Eleven teams from the Asia-Pacific region compete in home-and-away matches to determine the knockout bracket that begins in May. The top three playoff teams will qualify for the VCT Masters Shanghai, the second Masters event of the 2024 season.
