Vaud – Volunteers needed to take care of the little ones

Posted

Fearing the shortage of staff due to the health situation, the umbrella organization of day care facilities for children is asking professionals in the sector to come and lend a hand in order to avoid temporary closures.

This is an unusual appeal that has just been published by the Vaudois umbrella organization for child day care networks (FRAJE): in order to overcome a possible lack of staff in the structures of the canton, it is launching an appeal to professionals in the branch intended to temporarily strengthen the workforce affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. This is to guarantee services and avoid having to close reception centers or limit the number of places.

The FRAJE is looking for volunteers, trained in the field of extra-family care, to come and lend a hand to the educational staff. These people can contact either the reception network close to their home, or their former employer, or directly to the umbrella organization (info@fraje.ch).

Note that, despite the urgency and temporary nature of this situation, volunteers must provide an extract from their criminal record since this is a legal requirement.
