The recurring growl of CHUV staff was heard by the Management. This Wednesday, the institution announced that it wanted to look into thirteen of the priority problems raised by its employees during a vast survey of the working climate, carried out last summer.
Afraid to speak freely
Some 8,000 employees had spoken, or 60% of the total. Among the grievances retained are, for example, the “fear of reprisals” when organizational problems are raised or the absence of a clear HR policy applied uniformly everywhere.
The Management Committee of the CHUV has given the green light to move forward in the fight once morest these issues. Various actions suggested by working groups will be implemented by the end of 2024.
Under the eyes of the employees
A supervision committee, made up of workers and members of the HR department, will be responsible for checking that the work is progressing. An Intranet portal will even be put online, so that all employees can follow the progress of the work. “Everything is not perfect and not everything can be done immediately, tempers Antonio Racciatti, director of human resources. The important thing is to move forward step by step, concretely and in close collaboration with our teams.”
