The Vatican is taking part in a peace mission to try to end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Pope Francis said on Sunday, declining to give further details.
“I am ready to do whatever needs to be done. A mission is underway, but it is not yet public. When it is, I will reveal it”the Pope told reporters on the return flight following a three-day visit to Hungary.
The Russian army claimed this Sunday to have destroyed a Ukrainian ammunition depot during a bombardment on the Kramatorsk station, in the east of the country.
One person was killed and three injured in the night from Sunday to Monday by Russian bombardments in the Ukrainian region of Kherson (south), the local military administration reported on Monday.
