Jaipur: Senior leader Vasundhara Raje has dropped out of the last leg of the BJP’s transformational journey in Rajasthan, where elections are imminent. The Yatra is currently in the Hadoti region comprising Kota, Bundi and Jhalawar in Rajasthan. Questions have been raised over Vasundhara’s absence from the journey through her home turf.

Vasundhara Raje has been representing Jhalawar constituency as an MP and MLA for the last 33 years. Among the workers, there is concern that the constant clashes and clashes with the leadership will affect their future in the BJP. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Vasundhara’s son Dushyant Singh participated in the rally. But the party believes that if Vasundhara’s presence was here, it would have reflected in the election in a better way.

Chief Ministers from other BJP-ruled states like Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma came to cheer the rally. Meanwhile, the explanation given by BJP sources is that Vasundhara was currently in Delhi for personal purposes. When asked regarding Vasundhara’s absence, Himanta Biswa Sharma said that when Bharat Mata Ki Jai is said, they are all one and stand together.

BJP spokesperson responded to the media’s question whether Vasundhara’s absence from the Parivarthan Yatra was due to not being promoted as the chief ministerial candidate – “If she is in Delhi, it will be to meet the party high command”.

Vasundhara’s close supporters, former Kota North MLA Prahlad Gunchal and Rajawat’s former MLA Bhawani Singh Rajawat, were there to receive him at Kota. But when the journey ended at Ummaid Singh Stadium, they had not arrived.
