In Alwar, Rajasthan, a cow was hit by Vandebharat and died. Shivdayal Sharma died while urinating near the railway track. The incident happened last Wednesday morning. The train is coming from the Kali Mori gate and hits a cow on the track. Shivdayal Sharma, who was urinating on the track, fell on the body of the cow that was hit by the thunder. This is not the first time that Vande Bharat trains running in India have hit stray cattle on railway tracks. A lot of such accidents are a regular sight on the route from Mumbai to Gujarat. Within days of its inauguration, the Mumbai-Gandhinagar Vande Bharat Superfast Express train collided with cattle and suffered minor damage. Moreover, the very next day, the same train hit another cow near Anand station in Gujarat, causing damage to the front panel.

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that since the Vande Bharat Expresses were traveling at a speed of 130 to 160 km per hour, it was not possible to save the cattle that were on the track. However, he clarified that this issue will be on his mind. Meanwhile, Western Railway has decided to install metal fencing on the over 620-km long Mumbai-Ahmedabad trunk route to prevent animals from getting on the tracks and avoid accidents.
