Pol van Boekel and Dennis Higler have been appointed by UEFA as video referees for the Champions League match between RB Leipzig and Real Madrid. Van Boekel is the Video Assistant Referee (VAR), Higler has been appointed Assistant Video Assistant Referee (AVAR).
Leipzig and Real Madrid face each other in the Red Bull Arena on Tuesday evening. The home team reached the last sixteen by finishing second in the group stage in a group with Manchester City, Young Boys and Red Star Belgrade. Real Madrid qualified by winning the group with Napoli, SC Braga and Union Berlin.
The match starts on Tuesday evening at 9 p.m. The match is officiated by Bosnian referee Ifan Peljto.
