It was revealed that Lee Eun-hae and Jo Hyeon-soo, who were handed over to trial for the ‘Gapyeong Yongso Valley Murder Case’, received 19 million won from helpers during their four-month fugitive life.

According to the Incheon District Prosecutors’ Office, two assistants in their 30s who were handed over to trial today are charged with providing a hiding place for Lee Eun-hae and Cho Hyeon-soo from January to April, and providing 19 million won in escape funds.

It was investigated that one of the helpers provided money for Lee Eun-hae and Jo Hyeon-soo to rent a hiding place, and the other lent a hiding place such as an officetel in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do under a borrowed name.

Prosecutors have also booked and investigated two other escapee helpers on the same charge, while Lee Eun-hae and Cho Hyun-soo are additionally booked and investigated on charges of escaping teachers.

Previously, Eunhae Lee and Hyunsoo Jo went into hiding at the Incheon District Prosecutor’s Office on the night of December 13, last year, when the first investigation was conducted, at the helper’s house, and following making a plan to escape, the next day, they did not respond to the second summons investigation.
