Vallavalitsus algatas Raasikul ligi 25 hektari suuruse ala detailplaneeringu

Raasiku middle section point algatatud detailplanning includes the area around Kooli and Lasteaia, the community center, the area between Ning Tehase and Kostivere tee in the Niidu Tänava area.

The municipal government decided to start the detailed planning of the educational campus and the central settlement of the township of Raasik and approved the starting task for the planning of an area of nearly 25 hectares belonging to the municipality in the township.

Planning specialist Krista Erg-Scacchetti explained that the need to plan the Raasik school and kindergarten and the area around them in detail has been talked regarding for years, now it was decided to start with it.

“We cannot build additions to the school and kindergarten piece by piece, we have to start looking at the long-term perspective – in a few years it may be necessary to build a completely new kindergarten in Raasik. That’s why we initiated detailed planning for a much larger area, not just for planning the educational campus,” he said.

According to Krista Erg-Scacchetti, the priority of the detailed planning is the planning of the educational campus, but the goal is also to foresee places for other public buildings that may be needed in the future, and to ensure a safe and pedestrian-friendly environment.

The planned area covers the area around Raasik school and kindergarten between Võidu and Meierei streets up to Jägala road, the land belonging to the municipality on the other side of Tallinn road from the school, including the community center and the property of the health center and the Coop store, and the Niidu street area behind them – an empty area between terraced houses and private houses. In addition, Tehase tee 2a, i.e. the triangle between Tehase and Kostivere tee, and several roads are included in the plan.
