Drake Bell and Sergio Andrade reinforce the popular Six Degrees of Separation theory, which maintains that any person is connected to any other individual on the planet through a chain of acquaintances made up of five intermediaries. In their case, the connector is Valentina de la Cuesta, daughter of the controversial music producer, who is currently based in Spain, from where he is following an imminent trial for corruption of minors in California, United States.
In a recent video shared on TikTok, Vale de la Cuesta recounted a unique anecdote that occurred the day she met her idol. She recalled that she met Drake Bell at a party. The Nickelodeon star made eye contact with Valentina de la Cuesta, who, although she admits that she was on the verge of falling for his charms, preferred to leave the place and avoid the encounter.
In the storytime, the influencer explains that she made the decision because, at that time, Drake Bell was facing a legal process for engaging in inappropriate conversations with a minor in the United States. De la Cuesta refers to the Cleveland Case. In 2018, the legal guardians of a minor who met the singer a year earlier, reported him following documenting a series of inappropriate conversations (which included intimate photographs) between Drake Bell and the young woman, who was 15 years old.
The trial lasted four years, until in June 2021, Drake Bell pleaded guilty in a Cuyahoga County court. The actor was sentenced to two years of probation and 200 hours of community service.
Although Valentina de la Cuesta does not establish a correlation between Bell’s case and that of her father, her life was marked by her rejection of the music producer, who in the early 2000s, along with Gloria Trevi and Mary Boquitas, were arrested in Brazil for the alleged crimes of rape and corruption of minors.
The arrest arose from a series of accusations that arose following Andrade’s ex-wife, actress Aline Hernández, filed a criminal complaint once morest him following publishing the biographical book “Aline, la Gloria por el Infierno,” where she recounted a series of abuses committed by the producer and allegedly tolerated by Trevi, to her and young women who were recruited as chorus girls, including Karla de la Cuesta, Valentina’s mother.
Although he was released in 2007, Valeria de la Cuesta publicly declared that she had no interest in establishing a rapprochement with her father, whom she defined as a sexual predator: “I do not know Sergio Andrade in person, because he is a sexual aggressor and I have never had any kind of rapprochement, not even messages with him; neither of us have tried to communicate,” she declared in an interview with Shanik Berman.
Hours following posting the video, Valentina de la Cuesta deleted the post because it became the target of misogynistic comments from TikTok users.
