Friday Film House, a company that has produced many different films in Malayalam, is producing a film in five languages without stars. Apart from the hit films Monkey Pen, Angamali Diaries, Aath Series, Adi Kapyare Kootamani and June, the first OTT in Malayalam. Another different film of the Friday film house, which brought the Tara starrer Sufi and Sujatha and the most popular film of 2021, Home, is gearing up for release.
‘Valatti’ is the first pan-Indian film from Malayalam without superstars to be released theatrically in five languages - Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. The film is written and directed by Devan, the 14th newcomer director introduced by Friday Film House. For the first time in the history of Indian cinema, eleven puppies and a rooster are the main characters in the film, which also includes dogs of various breeds.
The main characters in the film, the dogs and chickens, have been voiced by leading actors in Malayalam. Who they are has been kept as a surprise by the crew. The film has six songs composed by Varun Sunil.
It took more than three years to raise the puppies, train them for the film and other construction activities. Producer Vijay Babu says that this is the biggest experimental film of Friday Film House. Director Devan also responded that this is his dream film.
