Val Thorens, the highest resort in Europe, will open part of its slopes from November 18, 2023 thanks to very favorable weather conditions for the preparation of the ski area.

Val Thorens is part of the Trois Vallées ski area, the largest ski area in the world with more than 600 kilometers of slopes @Val Thorens

Negative temperatures and heavy snowfall allow Val Thorens to open a week before November 25
initially planned.
It is therefore from Saturday November 18, and for the whole week, that the first skiers will be able to benefit from a
part of the ski area.

The Funitel Péclet, the Cascade chairlift and all the carpets will be accessible from Val Thorens, from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. The work of
ski lift and slope service teams will continue throughout the week in order to open the entire area
skiable on Saturday November 25 for the “Grande Première”.
Pour this pre-opening week, until November 25, skiers
will thus have the pleasure of being able to hit the slopes in preview at the advantageous rate of €20 per day.

For the latecomers, a “Catch-up session” package, allows you to come ski in Val Thorens the weekend following the opening, always at an advantageous price with a single site allowing the reservation of packaged offers.

A promising start to the season
In addition to the excellent weather conditions, it is a promising start to the season since the resort is recording strong reservations from
vacationers. The figures speak for themselves, with an average occupancy rate (as of 03/11/2023) of 56.4%, an increase of 2.7
points compared to N-1, thus positioning Val Thorens at the top of French resorts.
The Val Thorens reservation center also recorded a +25% increase in reservation files compared to N-1 and a forecast occupancy rate for the Christmas holidays of +70%, i.e. +15.9 points compared to at N-1 on this date.

This start of the season is also marked by many other highlights: the ski mountaineering world cup (November 24 to 26) as well as
as the Skicross World Cup (December 5 to 8).
