The gold fees (except for Clarity) of the lawyer and candidate with the N.D. Konstantinas Karabatsolis
Waste of public money, and indeed in some cases for non-existent purposes, seems to be carried out by the management of the Hellenic Aviation Industry SA. (ODA) with the blessings, if not the encouragement, of the political leadership of the Ministry of Development to which the ODA falls since November 2020 by Presidential Decree (92/2020).

And all this in completely opaque terms, given that some of the expenses we refer to are not even posted on Diaygeia, as required by the relevant legislation.
In particular, in December 2021 the lawyer Constantina Karabatsoli, who, according to information, is extremely close to the environment of the Minister of Development Adonis Georgiadis, signed a contract with the EAB, with the purpose of providing “specialized legal services and advice in matters of Public, Administrative , Commercial and Criminal Law”.
The lawyer, who was also a candidate in the previous national elections with the New Democracy party, in Evia, undertook the judicial and extrajudicial representation of EAB as well as the provision of “opinions and advisory services on issues related to the daily operation of the company” for two years, i.e. from 1/1/2022 to 31/12/23, with a fee of 60,000 euros. However, this contract was never posted on Diaugia. And the outrageous doesn’t stop here…
2. The two-month contract for “UAE education and education in general” with a fee of 15,000 euros.
3. The contract for the preparation of “legal research and study for the establishment of a Collection-Museum of the EAB in the context of creating a space for getting to know the history and
the action of the ODA” with remuneration

On November 10, 2022, while Ms. Karabatsoli’s previous contract had already been “running” for 11 months, she signed a new contract with EAB, lasting two months and amounting to an additional 15,000 euros (!)
With this new contract, EAB commissioned the lawyer, whom it paid anyway for advice, to prepare a legal research and study with additional money, for the establishment of a subsidiary company of EAB S.A., “which will completely take over the UAE education and education in general”. Last February, in fact, an announcement was issued by the Ministry of Development, regarding a meeting that Adonis Georgiadis had with the Director of Education of the Ministry of Defense of the United Arab Emirates Nasir Alnagbi and officials of the UAE Embassy in Greece, within the framework of this program, in which was also attended by Mrs. Karabatsoli.
However, why the ODA repaid Ms Karabatsoli remains unknown. As it remains unknown why even this contract was never posted in Diaygeia.
What is interesting, in fact, is that in April 2022, i.e. months following the lawyer’s initial contract, the new development law was published in the Official Gazette, which included a regulation, on the basis of which EAB might enter into contracts “with external financial, legal , scientific or technical advisors for the implementation of the development of the joint-stock company”.
And since the development never came, it is now clear that the legislation was carried out in order to profit for a pointless work by some, through these contracts.
Museums… and other dragons
Mrs. Karabatsoli’s fees, of course, did not stop at the above amounts… According to the contracts that the “democracy” has in her hands, last November the lawyer and parliamentary candidate signed yet another contract, amounting to 15,000 euros. Her object? The preparation of “legal research and study for the establishment of the EAB Collection – Museum in the context of creating a place to get to know the history and activities of the EAB” (!)
The claim that a museum is being prepared for the history of EAB seems, of course, anecdotal, to those who know the company’s issues well and even to the casual listener. More so, because in this very period its very future is at stake. Let us recall that its privatization plan is already in place, which provides for its “breaking” into two economic entities, Asset Co (fixed assets and infrastructure) and Commercial Co, with the entry of a strategic investor into the latter. The strategic investor will acquire 49% in the trading company (51% will remain with the Greek State), but, through the shareholders’ agreement, will have control over the management.
In the middle of this tsunami of the privatization plan and the war waged just before by the government once morest the company and its workers, in order to promote privatization, it is impossible to believe that a museum is being prepared for… her story.
Of course, this contract of Mrs. Karabatsoli was not posted in Diaugia either. And this, despite the fact that a corresponding contract, amounting to 20,000 euros, once more for the museum, with a project description of “recording, management and coordination of all the required actions for the creation of a museum” was given to an art conservator (!) , posted normally.
No one gets lost…
The fact that Mrs. Karabatsoli was not elected in Evia seems not to have been a bad thing for her. With a simple addition to the above contracts, one finds that the lawyer easily made 90,000 euros in a short period of time. Information, in fact, states that in reality the contracts signed by Mrs. Karabatsoli reach a total of 180,000 euros. If the fact is verified, it is a real scandal.
Mr. Georgiadis, however, seems to hold her in high esteem, since, in addition to the ODA, he has also placed her on the board of the Center for Planning and Economic Research (KEP.E) of the Ministry of Development since December 2019. The fees received by Mrs. Karabatsoli from the State for this participation are not known.
