Vacuuming or using the oven, taking a bath: here are the daily gestures that consume the most and the least energy

The price of electricity remains very high in the country. With an average annual consumption per household of 3,500 kWh, the bill climbs to more than 2,300 euros per year. Hence the need to better manage its consumption. However, it is not always easy to realize what we consume on a daily basis. What can be done by consuming only 1 kWh?

1 kWh is symbolized by a unit of measurement which corresponds to the quantity of energy produced or consumed in one hour by a machine with a power of 1000 watts.

With 1 kWh, it is possible to do many things. First of all, by choosing the right bulb:

  • A 60 W bulb provides lighting for 16 hours
  • A 42 W bulb provides 24 hour lighting
  • 7W LED provides 142 hours of brightness

With 1 kilo Watthour, it is possible to use your oven for 1 hour, run a dishwasher cycle and use my coffee machine for 1 week.

With 1 KWh, it is also possible to watch TV or play console games for 3 to 8 hours depending on their equipment. 1 kWh can also be used to recharge son GSM pendant 100 h i.e. 50 recharging cycles or even vacuum for 1 hour.

To move too, it sometimes takes a little to go far. With a 1 kWh an electric bicycle can travel 80 to 100 km, a scooter 12 to 25 km and an electric car 5 to 7 km.

Conversely, certain daily gestures can cost a lot of energy. To take a shower requires at least 2 kWh and if you prefer the bath, it goes to 4 kWh.

For laundry, with 1 kWh, it is possible to do a laundry, short cycle, but it will take 3 kWh for a dryer cycle.
