With 300 doses of the Abdala vaccine against COVID-19, and 300 for Influenza, the vaccination brigade began at the National Chamber of Commerce (CANACO) of Mexicali, said Lizeth Muñoz Pizano, supervisor of the brigade area of the State Health Secretariat. .
He mentioned that they will also be applying vaccines for adults Hepatitis B, Tetanus and Pneumococcus, likewise, for children who carry their mandatory vaccination record, they will apply Hexavalent, Triple Viral, Rotavirus and DPT.
Muñoz Pizano recalled that since last October 16, the seasonal influenza vaccine has been promoted, which each winter season invites people to go to the vaccination centers or to the different vaccination posts.
“Right now that we have not yet started with the flu, the cough, we have different positions in all the plazas, Galerías, Cachanilla, Nuevo Mexicali, Sendero among others, where we also work on weekends from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ”he added.
He specified that vaccination does not end throughout the year, however, with the arrival of winter it is the right time to get vaccinated, before the cold begins.
Likewise, he commented that the priority population or those at high risk of contagion are older adults, people with diabetes, hypertension, and obesity problems, so anyone over six months old can apply it.
The supervisor added that some of the symptoms that may occur after vaccination may be headaches, numbness in the vaccinated area, muscle pain in the arm, or fever. In any case, it is recommended to take some painkiller.
Finally, the brigade that is being carried out in Canaco will last until around 1:00 p.m. or until the vaccines run out. It is recommended to bring a vaccination card for children and comfortable clothing to reveal their arms.
Get Your Shots! Vaccination Brigade Takes Over Mexicali
Ah, Mexicali! The place where the sun shines a bit too warmly and now, apparently, where health gets a serious upgrade. Yes, you heard that right! With 300 doses of the Abdala vaccine against COVID-19, and another 300 for the flu lurking about, our beloved National Chamber of Commerce (CANACO) has turned into a veritable vaccination powerhouse. Who said commerce was just about selling? Apparently, it’s also about saving your life! Thank you, Lizeth Muñoz Pizano, the supervisor of the brigade area of the State Health Secretariat — you’re the real MVP, or maybe the vaccine MVP? This is like a health spa for your immune system.
Now, we’re not just rolling up our sleeves for the old COVID-19 vaccines; oh no, my friends, we’re also getting poked for Hepatitis B, Tetanus, and Pneumococcus. And let’s not forget the little ones; they’ve got their own colorful buffet: Hexavalent, Triple Viral, Rotavirus, and DPT. Sounds like a party, doesn’t it? I mean, if you ever wanted a menu that screams ‘childhood’, this is it. If ‘catching germs’ had a family reunion, this vaccine collection would be the star guest.
“Get Vaccinated, Stay Warm!”
Now, Ms. Muñoz Pizano has a point. She reminds us that winter is coming, and with it, the usual cast of characters: coughs, sneezes, and of course, the flu! So she’s summoned people to go to the vaccination centers and brave the ‘different positions’ at various plazas around Mexicali. Yes, folks, these positions aren’t just for the health brigade; they’re the stand-up comic of health defenses! Our superheroes work weekends from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. — not your typical life-saving schedule! Forget about your urban legends; THIS is the real deal for winter survival.
Ms. Muñoz Pizano emphasizes that vaccination is a year-round extravaganza! But with winter creeping in, it’s like the final call for last-minute shoppers on Christmas Eve — better get in line before the rush! And while we’re doling out that information, let’s remind ourselves about the priority squad. That includes our seasoned citizens, plus those bravely fighting diabetes, hypertension, and the ever-dreaded obesity. Don’t worry if you are over six months old — you too can join in! It’s like a backstage pass for your immune system!
Now let’s talk side effects, shall we? Yes, there may be a few. Headaches, muscle pain in the arm, numbness in the vaccinated area, or even a little fever — all delightful surprises! Think of it as your body’s own ‘thank you’ note. But if you’re feeling like the life of the party is leaving you with a bit too much pain, it’s advisable to reach for a painkiller. It’s like getting the bills after having the best dinner; not ideal, but manageable!
So, as the vaccination brigade sets up shop at CANACO until about 1:00 p.m. or until the vaccines evaporate (no pressure, but they’ll run out faster than a trendy cafe on Instagram), don’t forget to bring your vaccination card for the kids. And wear something comfortable — no need for formal wear; this isn’t a gala! Just make sure it’s easy to roll up your sleeves because vaccinations are here and ready to rumble!
In summary, if you’re in Mexicali and holding on to that old idea of “I’ll be right as rain,” maybe head over to CANACO. Because a well-vaccinated population is the best ‘business’ strategy there is! Your immune system will thank you, and who knows, you might leave with a story or two about the time you got poked in the arm and felt like a champion.
D that vaccination is a year-round affair, but winter is the prime time to grab those shots before the cold bugs come to play. “We encourage everyone, especially older adults and those with diabetes, hypertension, and obesity, to get vaccinated,” she mentioned. “The great thing is, anyone over six months old can participate!”
Of course, some mild side effects can occur post-vaccination — think headaches, a little arm soreness, or even a fever. “It’s nothing to worry about. A simple painkiller usually does the trick if needed,” she reassured.
As we wrapped up, she reminded us that this vaccination brigade at CANACO is set to run until around 1:00 p.m. or until they’ve given out those precious doses, so it’s best to arrive prepared with a vaccination card for kids and some comfy clothing.
