V. Zelenskiy calls on the US Congress to approve a new support package for Ukraine

Republican lawmakers in the House of Representatives are stalling $60 billion. approval of $55 billion in new aid to Ukraine, and Zelensky made his call for action in an interview with Fox News, a favorite US conservative channel.

“Will Ukraine Survive Without Congressional Support?” Of course. But not all,” V. Zelensky told Fox host Bret Baier during an interview near the front line in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian leader also warned that the price to be paid for helping Kyiv now is far less than the possible price later if Russian President Vladimir Putin manages to win.

Washington has provided tens of billions of dollars in military aid to Ukraine and is perhaps Kyiv’s biggest donor. But approved funding has dried up, and former President Donald Trump’s allies in the House of Representatives are blocking new aid.

Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee in November’s presidential election, opposes aid to Kyiv and recently used his influence to veto a bill that would have tied aid to Ukraine to US border reform.

At the Munich Security Conference last week, Zelensky said he was ready to show Trump the front line in Ukraine, saying politicians should see what real war means.
