V. Germanas, who used to have the last name of Viliaus Židelis, claims that he has received “threatening, blackmailing” letters for the past nine months.

He also asks the law enforcement to evaluate him and I. Trinkūnaitė “circulation of compromising information in the public space”.

“There is a lot of factual material and witnesses who are ready to help law enforcement uncover the motives behind the discrediting campaign of iSun, Foxpay, Ieva Trinkūnaitė and myself,” V. Germanas stated.

According to him, many “actions in this story have malicious and criminal motives, including racketeering.”

V. Germanas did not specify specific persons who might have threatened him.

V. German’s lawyer Giedrius Danėlius told BNS that the complaint was submitted to the police regarding the extortion of assets worth ten million euros in virtual currency.

“The demand was for a virtual currency, so that value is dynamic.” But I checked how much it was on the day of the claim, it was actually in the six-zero zone, maybe 12 or 13 million. euros”, G. Danėlius told BNS.

According to him, the request to transfer the property of such value to V. German was submitted in the spring of this year.

The police confirmed that the complaint was registered on Wednesday.

V. German came into the spotlight when a news portal 15min announced last month that he has a great influence in the Lithuanian fintech company group “iSun”.

The government commission has established that I. Trinkūnaitė has concealed the fact that there is a convicted person in her close environment. V. German is the father of her children.

Due to her connections with V. Germanus, the government recognized I. Trinkūnaitė as not meeting the interests of national security

I. Trinkūnaitei owns the electronic payment company Foxpay, which is under the magnifying glass. Currently, the Bank of Lithuania and law enforcement are conducting investigations into the activities of this company.

Close ties with V. German already cost the Minister of Social Security and Labor Monika Navickieni her post. She resigned when 15min announced her flight on a private plane with V. Germanus and I. Trinkūnaita to Dubai. Ms. Navickienė received a trip to Dubai as a gift.

Mindaugas Navickas, M.Navickienė’s husband, was in close contact with V.Germanus and I.Trinkūnaite for several years. He is distantly related to the latter.
