The Uyapar Hospital facilities were remodeled in order to improve patient care.
The works were carried out by the Government of Bolívar state, in conjunction with the Regional Public Health Institute, the Ministry of Health, as well as the Venezuelan Institute of Social Security.
Manuel Maurera, the sole health authority of Bolívar state, revealed that among the works recently carried out in the hospital center, the installation of air conditioners in the operating rooms is included, which were delivered by the national government.
They also reactivated a deep well with the collaboration of Hidrobolívar in order to have the water service.
In a joint effort, Corpoelec personnel carried out actions in the area of lighting, while the brigade of the Department of Maintenance and General Services of the Government was in charge of cleaning, weeding, and collecting solid and organic waste from the hospital.
Articulating efforts
Maurera applauded the appointment of Dr. Richard Malaver, as director of the Uyapar Hospital, who “along with his team decided not to abandon public health and turn this center into the best in Venezuela,” he said.
Malaver explained that within an operating room, between 10 and 12 patients can be treated daily. “For now we have three surgical rooms, but with the reactivation of five more, there might be approximately 50 operative cases per day, which would serve to relieve other hospitals in the region.”
He reported that regarding the 1×10 deployment of the Good Government, the National Executive has allocated the necessary budget to recover the Intensive Care Unit for adults of the Uyapar Hospital, which had been paralyzed for several years.
working class support
Arquímedes Hidalgo, president of CVG Alcasa, commented that the Alcasian working class has collaborated with the manufacture of technical aids such as canes, wheelchairs, crutches and walkers, which are already in the Uyapar and are intended for people with special abilities or with postoperative treatment.
